About Our Grange
On April 25, 1942, the Harrison Grange was founded by visionary citizens dedicated to boosting the economic and political vitality of their community and agriculture, enriching the lives of everyone in this charming rural town. Driven by this unwavering commitment, these families came together in 1944 to acquire the current Harrison Grange 422 building and two adjacent vacant lots; one of which is now the Harrison Library. Despite fluctuating membership and occasional struggles for survival, the Grange has experienced a resurgence thanks to the dedication of its current leaders. Today, community spirit thrives, with some of the original families still actively involved. One of the most dynamic new community developments is “Market On The Grange” which offers fresh produce, vibrant flowers, and artisan crafts from our residents every Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
All year long, the Harrison Grange hosts a variety of engaging activities that draw enthusiastic participation from the community: monthly bingo nights, painting programs, soup and pie fundraisers, breakfast events during the Old Timer’s Picnic and the Haulin’ Ass to Harrison car show, to the annual “Gingerbread Building” competition during the Town of Harrison Winterfest celebration. Join us and be a part of the spirited revival of the Harrison Grange 422!
